Our client works with companies across metals value chains to promote responsible production practices that support sustainable development, reduce environmental impact, and benefit local communities, customers, and consumers.

The Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing and improving the organisations data systems, ensuring data is accurate, secure, well-managed, and effectively used across the organisation.

  • Implement and maintain information management policies and data management procedures
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, retention, and security requirements
  • Oversee data storage, retention, version control, and disposal processes
  • Establish and monitor data quality standards across systems
  • Support implementation and improvement of organisational systems, workflows, and reporting tools
  • Implement data validation and quality controls for core datasets
  • Support development of dashboards and reporting processes
  • Coordinate external managed service providers (MSPs) to maintain system continuity and performance
  • Support staff in accessing, interpreting, and using data effectively
  • Assist with data extraction, reporting, and analysis for assurance, standards, and governance
  • Support onboarding, training, and adoption of data systems
  • Identify and implement process improvements and escalate data-related risks
  • Support change management across systems, governance, and process improvements

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience in data management, information governance, records management, or a related operational role
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, data lifecycle management, and information governance frameworks
  • Experience working with shared data environments, SaaS platforms, workflow tools, and reporting environments
  • Experience coordinating or managing data-related projects, including system implementations, integrations, migrations, or process improvements
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and managed service providers
  • Proficiency in both Mac and PC environments
  • Ability to translate policies and procedures into clear, practical guidance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams
  • Highly organised, methodical, and trustworthy with a strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection
  • Proactive, improvement-focused, and pragmatic in approach
