What will your role look like?
As a Residential Property Paralegal, you will support a senior solicitor and play a key role in progressing matters from instruction through to completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with residential sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
- Providing 1-to-1 support for one of the fee earners
- Preparing and reviewing draft contracts, searches, reports, and completion statements
- Managing day-to-day client communications and progressing matters efficiently
- Handling file opening procedures, AML checks, and compliance in line with firm policies
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
- Maintaining accurate records and managing deadlines effectively in a remote working environment
Are you the right person for the job?
You will be an experienced and organised Residential Property Paralegal or Legal Assistant who enjoys managing conveyancing matters and working closely with solicitors in a collaborative, remote environment. You will be confident handling multiple files, communicating with clients, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.
About you:
- Previous experience in residential conveyancing within a law firm or legal practice (ideally 2+ years)
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files and priorities calmly and professionally
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a client‑focused approach
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and digital case management systems
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to thrive in a fully remote yet highly collaborative team
- Ability to undertake a full DBS check
