A small, well-established and growing conveyancing-focused law firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Office Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations. This is a pivotal position reporting directly to the Managing Partner, who will be stepping back from operational duties. The Office Manager will be central to ensuring the smooth running of the office and supporting the firm through its next stage of growth and expansion.
The firm is at an exciting stage of development, strengthening its internal structure before scaling operations further. This role offers a genuine opportunity to shape processes, influence how the office runs, and grow with the business.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate all daily office operations
- Act as the central point of contact for office administration
- Manage and support a small team (approx. 6 staff: 2 office-based and 4 remote)
- Ensure smooth communication and workflow across the team
- Implement, improve, and maintain office systems and processes
- Provide general operational support to senior leadership
- Be flexible and willing to “wear multiple hats” in a growing business environment
- Support evolving business needs, including potential future involvement in bookkeeping or financial admin (as required)
- Experienced as an Office Manager or Senior Administrator
- Highly organised with strong multitasking abilities
- Confident working in a small, fast-paced, and evolving business
- Proactive, reliable, and capable of taking full ownership of responsibilities
- A strong communicator with a hands‑on, can‑do attitude
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close‑knit team
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support across different areas as the business grows
- Experience in a legal or conveyancing environment is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided on the firm’s case management system (Hoowla, which is easy to learn)
- Fully office‑based role (Monday–Friday, 9–5)
