Our client, based at Unit 5 Beech Court, Fenstanton, is looking to expand their talented bakery team with the addition of an Assistant Head Baker. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced baker passionate about producing high-quality baked goods and ready to take the next step in their career. Working closely with the Head Baker, you will play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards, supporting daily production, and helping to drive the bakery's continued success.
The Role
- Assist the Head Baker in the day-to-day running of the bakery
- Prepare and bake a wide range of high-quality breads, pastries, and bakery products
- Ensure all products are produced to the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Support and guide bakery team members to achieve production targets
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ingredient ordering and inventory management
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness throughout the bakery
- Help develop new products and contribute ideas for seasonal offerings
- Ensure efficient workflows and support smooth production processes
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a professional bakery environment
- Experience in a senior baker, bakery supervisor, or similar position would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, processes, and food safety standards
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
