Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Digging/Repair Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drainage excavation, repairs, no dig repairs, with a strong focus on safety and quality. As a Digging/Repair Engineer, you will play a vital role in a variety of projects, working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct excavation work for a variety of projects, including drainage installation and repairs.
- Perform repairs on various infrastructures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Operate digging machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Manual digging / excavation.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide updates on project progress.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during excavation and repair processes.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and project timelines.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a drainage Digging or Repair Engineer, preferably in drainage, construction or civil engineering.
- Valid driving license essential (no more than 6 points).
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in excavation and repair work.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, also initiative for lone working.
- Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, digging, and operating machinery.
- NRSWA/CSCS/HPWJ/Confined Space (preferable).
