Formed in 1996, our client is an established family-run signage and graphics company based in Camberley. They provide a complete service covering design, production and installation for clients across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and beyond. With in-house design, large-format print and CNC production capabilities, they deliver everything from vehicle graphics and shopfront signage to office branding, wayfinding, exhibition signage and bespoke sign systems.

As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to help them develop new business and build lasting relationships with clients.

The Role

This is a new business-focused sales position for someone who already understands the signage and large-format print industry. You will be responsible for identifying and approaching prospective clients, understanding their requirements and introducing the most suitable signage and graphics solutions. You will manage opportunities from initial contact through to quotation and order confirmation, working closely with our design, production and installation teams throughout the process. The role will involve a combination of prospecting, client meetings, site visits, networking, and following up new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow your knowledge of the company’s products, services and the wider signage industry
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identify and approach prospective clients across a range of industries
  • Generate new business through targeted outreach, networking and referrals
  • Meet with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on signage, graphics, wayfinding and display solutions
  • Prepare clear quotations and proposals with support from the wider team
  • Follow up quotations and manage opportunities throughout the sales process
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and maintain a strong conversion rate
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, enquiries and client communications
  • Attend client meetings and site visits when required
  • Handle telephone calls and email enquiries
  • Work closely with design, production and installation teams to ensure projects are achievable and technically viable
  • Provide clear handovers when projects move into production while supporting client relationships throughout the process
  • Represent the company professionally at meetings, networking events, exhibitions and industry events
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity and new product developments
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events and referral groups to promote the business and generate leads

Requirements

You will be someone who combines strong sales ability with a genuine understanding of the signage and graphics industry. You’ll be confident building relationships, identifying new opportunities and working with clients to deliver solutions that meet their needs. If you’re commercially driven, enjoy winning new business and have experience within signage, print or a similar environment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Essential

  • Previous sales experience within the signage, large-format print and/or exhibition graphics industry
  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience, ideally including at least 1 year within signage sales
  • Strong understanding of signage products, materials and production processes
  • Proven ability to generate and secure new business
  • Confidence engaging with prospective clients and building long-term relationships
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Confidence approaching prospective clients and developing new relationships
  • Good commercial awareness with an understanding of profitable selling
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and sales opportunities simultaneously
  • Confidence attending client meetings and carrying out site visits
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider team
  • Good Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience selling vehicle graphics, wayfinding, office branding or exhibition signage solutions
  • Experience attending networking events, trade shows or industry exhibitions
