Chef de Partie | Topsham, Exeter | Full Time | Β£30,000-Β£34,000 per annum Our client is located in the charming historic town of Topsham, situated on the River Exe, just four miles from Exeter. Combining traditional pub hospitality and charm with one of the most sought-after dining locations in Devon, they offer a welcoming environment focused on quality food and service.

The Role

They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join a dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and quality standards Oversee the daily operations of your designated kitchen section Assist with the development of new recipes and menu items by contributing creative ideas Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver efficient service during busy periods Monitor stock levels and support inventory management to help minimise waste Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained correctly and report any issues promptly Support the training and development of junior team members Requirements Essential Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment Previous restaurant experience with knowledge of a variety of cooking techniques Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Passion for culinary excellence and high standards of food presentation Must have the right to work in the UK This is not a live-in position Desirable Formal culinary training or relevant catering qualifications Experience supporting the development of menus and new dishes Previous experience training or mentoring junior kitchen staff What's In It For You Company pension scheme Discounted or free food Opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment Join a passionate and supportive team focused on quality and excellence What's next?
