With reliable systems that keep production running smoothly, they help manufacturers maximise efficiency and value from every process.Theyre seeking an enthusiastic Multiskilled Engineer to join their small team of eight, supporting the installation, commissioning and optimisation of membrane filtration systems across the UK and Ireland, primarily within the dairy industry.The RoleAs a Multiskilled Engineer, youll play a central role in the installation, commissioning and optimisation of membrane filtration systems across the UK and Ireland. Youll work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while developing specialist expertise in membrane filtration technology.Beyond membrane systems, youll also be involved in a wide range of dairy-processing operations, including milk, whey and cheese production. This hands-on and varied role offers the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge across multiple areas of dairy manufacturing while supporting customers in achieving efficient, reliable and compliant production processes.The role offers a varied mix of site work, technical problem-solving, customer support and project involvement, making it an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career within the dairy processing industry.Youll report directly to both Directors and will enjoy a combination of collaborative team working and independent, lone-working responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the installation, commissioning, and optimisation of dairy process projects and membrane filtration plantsDrive growth in membrane element sales, spare parts, and service offerings, while providing high-quality aftersales supportInvestigate and assess existing plant performance, including CIP effectiveness, reliability issues, and operational efficiency, and provide practical, actionable solutionsIdentify and source spare parts and components across a wide range of manufacturers and equipment typesLiaise with suppliers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of products and servicesManage customer enquiries relating to membrane element supply and installationCarry out on-site installation and replacement of membrane elementsPrepare health & safety documentation and method statements for site worksCarry out electrical and mechanical fault finding as requiredSupport a range of dairy-processing operations, including milk, whey and cheese productionManage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively across office and site-based workComplete permit-to-work documentation and risk assessments where requiredRequirementsEssentialRecognised engineering qualification, with an electrical and/or mechanical qualificationMinimum five years post-qualification engineering experienceElectrical and mechanical fault-finding experienceBasic PLC knowledgeExperience working both as part of a team and independentlyFull experience with Microsoft Office and IT systemsGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong organisational skillsAbility to manage your own workloadFull UK driving licenceAdaptable approach and willingness to learn and develop new technical skillsStrong work ethic and proactive approachExcellent attention to detailDesirablePLC programming experienceKnowledge of HMIs and SCADAWelding experienceKnowledge of hygienic membrane systemsExperience completing permit-to-work documentationExperience carrying out risk assessmentsExperience within the food or dairy processing industryKnowledge of membrane filtration systems (UF/RO/NF/MF)Experience working on customer sites, ideally in a service or commissioning roleWhats In It For You£35,000.00 £50,000.00 per year depending on experience, with candidates who closely match all requirements considered towards the higher end of the salary range37.5-hour basic working weekOn-site working out of hours as and when requiredTime Off in Lieu (TOIL) for authorised additional hours, in accordance with the Companys policies and Contract of Employment20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidaysCompany PensionCycle to Work SchemeOn-site parkingOngoing training tailored to your existing skills and experienceOffice-based role, with on-site working required across the UK and IrelandAll reasonable travel and accommodation expenses covered when working awayCareer progression opportunities as the business continues to growWhats next?
