Heating Engineer - Service & Breakdown | Greater Manchester | 08:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday, with Saturday work on a rota basis throughout the winter months | £35,000 to £37,000 pa Our client is a professional Plumbing, Gas, and Electrical company and a family business trading since 1979, with a high reputation of delivering excellent customer service to private homeowners, tenants, and landlords throughout Greater Manchester.

They have a proven track record of repairing and replacing gas and electric boilers, with a focus on repairing 1st and replacing as the last option, and the team strives to deliver the best possible service at a fair price.

The company has an experienced back office team that will help you on a daily basis if needed, with technical support for jobs that you are attending, down to help with parking and directions to properties if you are stuck.

Please note- ideally you will be located within a 20-minute commute of Bolton (BL3 1LR) to allow you a short commute to and from the office.

This is a full-time position with a long-term contract and immediate start A Company van will be provided, with PDA, company credit card, and uniform, along with paid holiday entitlement You will receive a company pension, after a qualifying period You will be offered training in Boiler fault finding, heating controls wiring, and electrical safety as required, although some prior knowledge is essential.

You must have at least 5 years of domestic plumbing & heating experience, NVQ 2 & 3 plumbing desirable.

Knowledge of Y plan & S plan systems, and ability to identify pipework correctly You must have your own tools and valid ACS certificates with 12+ months remaining, including CCN1, CKR1, CENWAT, HTR1 & CPA1What will your role as a Service & Breakdown Heating Engineer look like?Completing Landlords gas Safety Inspections working on Cookers, Fires & Boilers.

Diagnose & repair faulty gas and electric central heating boilers & gas fires Repair vented & unvented, direct & in-direct hot water systems, including economy 7 controls.

Fault finding on domestic plumbing and heating systems, boilers, and controls, the ideal candidate will be experienced and have a drive to confidently diagnose boiler faults on their own.

Servicing of a wide range of gas appliances, hobs, unit heaters, gas fires, boilers etc.

Trace and repair water and gas leaks Plumbing repairs and leaks on sanitary-ware and kitchens.

Basic electrical repairs where necessary.

After a morning briefing at the company offices for your daily jobs, you will be working usually on an individual basis under your own initiative, being responsible for ensuring a high quality of work that you can be proud of What's next?
