Hoist & Stairlift Installation Engineer Our client is a well-established Sussex-based mobility company specialising in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of stairlifts, hoists, and mobility equipment across the Southeast and West Sussex. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Hoist & Stairlift Installation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Installing, servicing, and maintaining a range of stairlifts and overhead hoist systems Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely Working in private homes and customer environments with professionalism and care Managing planned works and reactive service calls across the South East and West Sussex Participating in an emergency call-out Rota (with additional earnings and standby payments) Completing service documentation and compliance records accurately Following company health & safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines Training and product familiarisation will be provided on the specific manufacturers and equipment used by Southern Mobility Centres. Previous experience installing and servicing stairlifts Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules effectively Good communication and customer service skills Practical problem-solving ability and attention to detail Full clean UK driving licence Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out Rota (1 in 4) Willingness to learn and develop additional skills in hoist systems and mobility equipment DBS clearance or willingness to undergo a DBS check Desirable: Experience with ceiling track hoists or mobility equipment LOLER awareness or experience Electrical qualifications (18th Edition, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent) Experience working in customer homes or healthcare environments Manual handling certification Working Hours Full-time 40 hours per week Monday to Friday Overtime and emergency call-out work available Salary & Benefits Salary: Competitive salary £28,000 £32,000 Additional call-out and overtime earnings available Benefits: Company van Mobile phone Tools and equipment provided Manufacturer and in-house training Ongoing technical development Stable long-term role with growing company Location Field-based role covering: South East West Sussex Applicants must be based within a reasonable travelling distance in Eastbourne or nearby.
