Fitzgerald Plant Services, a leading provider of plant machinery repair and maintenance across the UK, is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. With a reputation for excellence and a nationwide presence, we deliver specialist solutions to a wide range of clients in the construction, civil engineering, and plant hire sectors.
Requirements:
- At least one year’s experience in a driving role within the industry.
- Must be competent in the use of plant enabling that plant to be manoeuvred safely on/off a lorry.
- Good knowledge and experience of driver’s working-hours legislation, tacho-graph procedures and other legal obligations (essential).
- NPORS Loader securer or similar (training may be available to candidates who meet all other essential criteria).
- ALLMI HIAB Certification would be beneficial (training may be available to candidates who meet all other essential criteria).
Role Responsibilities:
- To transport construction plant, agriculture plant, commercial vehicles, Rail Equipment and associated equipment to locations throughout the UK.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained, cleaned and presentable at all times, and daily checks are completed and undertaken.
- Load and unload vehicle independently and maintain safety and security of load at all times.
- To act as a company ambassador when presenting to customers both verbally and on customer premises.
- Up to 3 – 4 nights out per week.
