Operating across the UK, they support major clients on both framework and standalone projects and are known for their practical, delivery-focused approach, strong safety culture, and high standards of workmanship.
From their North Wales offices, they deliver predominantly water-sector projects across Wales while also undertaking works in associated utility sectors where skills are transferable. As a growing business, they offer long-term progression and increased responsibility for senior team members who grow with them.
This is a mid-level, hands-on role combining office-based responsibilities with regular site attendance across Wales. The client is open to junior candidates with the right construction, project management, or commercial background.

Are you the right person for the job?
Background & Experience:
- Industry experience in water is ideal; gas acceptable; power/telecoms considered
- Could also suit Assistant Project Managers or Quantity Surveyors / Junior QS wanting to move away from pure commercial work into site/project delivery
Must-Have Skills:
- Commercial awareness (estimating, costs, understanding value)
- Experience managing site teams and operatives
- Recording tasks, progress, and site documentation
- Leadership capability
- Strong understanding of health & safety and permit systems
Other Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (must be at least 25 years old with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience for insurance purposes)
Desirable (not essential):
- SMSTS, First Aid, EUSR / Water Hygiene, SHEA Water (or equivalent), framework/alliance contract experience
What will your role look like?
- Day-to-day site management across water and utilities schemes
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers (starting with 1β2 teams, progressing to 4β5)
- Maintain compliance with H&S, RAMS, permits, and company procedures
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to produce accurate material take-offs
- Measure completed works against the Schedule of Rates for valuations and reporting
- Provide accurate progress information to support applications for payment
- Liaise with clients, inspectors, and internal management
- Monitor programme progress and report accurately
- Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and documentation
Day-to-Day Split: ~70% office-based ~30% on site
Progression: Over 1β2 years, there is a clear scope to learn water-specific processes (including commissioning) and take on wider project responsibility across the UK.
