Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30 - 5:30, 40 Hours, Permanent

The Role

They are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 4 MOT Tester / Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced workshop environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring customer vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with legal and company requirements
  • Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Complete maintenance and repair work to a high standard
  • Operate diagnostics equipment confidently
  • Assist with vehicle handling and heavy lifting where required
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and completed work
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Support colleagues with technical expertise when needed
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience as an MOT Tester and/or Vehicle Technician
  • Level 3 mechanical qualification or equivalent experience
  • Class 4 MOT Tester qualification
  • MOT Licence
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicle systems
  • Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good team player with strong communication skills
  • Must be CRB/DBS approved

Desirable

  • Minimum 3 years mechanical experience
