Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking estate agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. Due to continued growth within their managed portfolio, our client is looking for a proactive and organised Property Management Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis.
The Role
This flexible role would suit someone with previous property management, lettings, housing, maintenance coordination or compliance experience who is looking to remain actively involved in the property sector while enjoying a better work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Property Inspections
- Conduct regular property inspections and produce detailed reports with photographs and recommendations
- Identify maintenance issues and liaise with landlords regarding required works
- Follow up on inspection findings to ensure actions are completed
- Compliance Management
- Monitor property compliance requirements and renewal dates
- Arrange Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs and other statutory inspections
- Maintain compliance records and ensure documentation is accurately recorded and served where required
- Maintenance Coordination
- Manage maintenance issues from initial report through to completion
- Liaise with tenants, landlords and contractors to coordinate repairs and maintenance works
- Obtain quotations where required and monitor contractor performance
- Administration & Customer Service
- Maintain accurate property management records and systems
- Respond to landlord and tenant enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service and communication throughout the tenancy
- Support the wider team with general property management administration
Requirements
- Essential
- Previous experience in property management, lettings, housing, facilities management, maintenance coordination or a similar role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- High level of attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Desirable
- Knowledge of residential lettings legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience carrying out property inspections
- ARLA qualification or willingness to undertake relevant training
