This is an entry-level field engineering role within the mobility and assisted living sector. You will support the installation, servicing, and maintenance of stairlifts in domestic environments. No previous experience with stairlifts is required, as full manufacturer and in-house training will be provided. The role is ideal for someone with a practical, hands-on background who is looking to develop a long-term career in electromechanical field service engineering. You will work in customers' homes, helping to ensure mobility equipment is installed safely, operates reliably, and meets required safety standards, directly improving independence and quality of life for end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation and commissioning of stairlifts and hoist systems under guidance
  • Carry out servicing and basic maintenance of mobility equipment
  • Support diagnosis of electrical and mechanical faults (training provided)
  • Respond to service calls and breakdowns alongside experienced engineers
  • Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
  • Deliver professional and respectful customer service in private homes
  • Participate in a structured 1-in-4 on-call rota (once trained)

Candidate Requirements
