Are you the right person for the job?
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the UK construction industry
- Experience leading, managing, or mentoring QS teams
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding (NEC and JCT)
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proactive, organised, and confident working on fast‑paced, technically complex projects
- Able to influence both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level
What will your role look like?
- Lead and manage the commercial aspects of multiple M&E projects from tender through to final account
- Provide commercial leadership, guidance, and mentoring to a team of Quantity Surveyors
- Oversee cost planning, financial tracking, value engineering, and risk management
- Prepare, negotiate, and agree valuations, variations, and contractual claims
- Work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, and finance teams
- Manage subcontractor procurement, assessment, and payment processes
- Produce accurate forecasts, margin reports, and commercial updates for senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes and systems
- Support client relationship management and contribute to strategic business development
