An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join a growing care organisation delivering high-quality support across both adult and children's services. This role is ideal for an established Deputy Manager Professional looking to further develop their management career and work towards becoming a Registered Manager in the future.

You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of services, maintaining compliance, developing staff teams, and ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to those who rely on our support.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership to support the effective management of both adult and children's care services. You will help drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement while ensuring person-centred care remains at the heart of service delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and confident in leading teams whilst maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operational management of adult and children's care services
  • Conduct unannounced spot checks and quality monitoring visits
  • Complete care plans and risk assessments for new service users
  • Review and update care plans and risk assessments regularly
  • Carry out service user satisfaction surveys and monitor feedback
  • Lead staff meetings, supervisions, and performance reviews
  • Support staff development, mentoring, and training
  • Maintain awareness of Ofsted requirements and children's service regulations
  • Assist with safeguarding processes, audits, and quality assurance activities
  • Work alongside senior management to drive service improvement and maintain high-quality care standards

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or similar leadership role
  • Experience working within both adult and children's care services
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements within children's services
  • Level 3 qualification in Adult Care and/or Children's Residential Care
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

Desirable

  • Currently working towards a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
  • Ambition to progress into a Registered Manager position
