Location: Preston

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday – Thursday 08:00 am – 4:30 pm, and Friday 08:00 am – 1:00 pm

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (Dependent upon experience)

The Role

  • Maintain and retain existing approvals, including ISO9001, AS9100 and customer-specific approvals
  • Improve compliance with customer requirements across all relevant processes
  • Lead internal, external and supplier audits
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across compliance systems
  • Conduct compliance checks and approvals at customer enquiry and order stages
  • Implement and maintain regulatory compliance systems, including ethical sourcing and export requirements
  • Deliver training and raise awareness to support compliance with customer expectations
  • Create and maintain documentation to evidence compliance
  • Monitor associated processes to ensure ongoing conformity and suitability

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience managing Quality processes
  • Strong document writing experience to support compliance systems
  • Good understanding of engineering processes and technical specifications
  • Demonstrable experience improving systems with a focus on compliance management
  • Proven team player with a collaborative approach
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft IT packages
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability and willingness to travel outside the UK

Desirable

  • Experience in Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems and/or environments
  • Commercial and strategic awareness within manufacturing or a similar industry
