Our client is a well-established law firm based in Birmingham. They work with personal and business clients across the UK and are recognised regionally and nationally for their commitment to the provision of legal services. They pride themselves on combining legal expertise with a down-to-earth and approachable team that is passionate about customer service as well as law. They are specialists in family law and property law, with experience across a wide range of private client matters.
They are seeking a driven and experienced Family Law Solicitor to join their busy and expanding team.
The Role:- Managing a caseload of private family law matters, including Private Law Children Act matters, divorce and finances from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on matrimonial and children matters as well as injunctions
- Drafting legal documents, including applications, witness statements, etc.
- Preparing court bundles and attending hearings independently where required
- Liaising with clients, counsel, the Court, and other parties
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the department
- Managing between 30-40 files at any one time
- Working to billing targets of 3.5 x income
- Expected to conduct hearings independently as a qualified solicitor
- Court attendance is required a few times per month, depending on caseload
- Essential
- Newly qualified and/or 1-3 years PQE Family Law Solicitor
- Ability to manage a caseload without full-time supervision from day one
- Strong knowledge of matrimonial finance, private children and injunction matters
- Strong advocacy experience and ability to conduct hearings independently
- Strong drafting and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently

- Preferably able to drive and a car owner. Will be paid for court travel and mileage on the standard basis
