Job Type: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Bonus

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ecommerce Manager to join a fast-growing online business and play a key role in driving digital growth. Working closely with the senior management team, you will help shape the ecommerce strategy and take responsibility for the ongoing improvement of the company website, customer journey, and digital marketing activities across SEO, email, social media, and paid advertising. This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded ecommerce professional with strong analytical skills, a data-driven approach and the creativity to identify new opportunities and deliver measurable results. The company is based in Garstang, Lancashire, between Preston and Lancaster and is in a remote location. Own transport is required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with the senior management team to develop the ecommerce strategy for the company website
  • Plan and execute an effective email marketing plan with input from senior management.
  • Updating and improving the company websites (B2B & B2C)
  • Continually reviewing and improving the customer journey, website navigation, product listings and overall online shopping experience
  • Managing and updating the company's social media channels
  • Working with our SEO agency to drive increased organic growth and activity
  • Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate customer experience and implement improvements by collaborating with senior management and external agencies
  • Monitoring website and marketing performance to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate, average order value and online revenue
  • Supporting digital advertising activity and working with external partners to improve return on investment
  • Working on strategies to build a lasting digital connection with consumers
  • Liaising on website and marketing projects with external suppliers
  • Sourcing and adding new products to the website from external suppliers
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Keeping an eye on competitor activity, ecommerce trends and new opportunities to help the business continue to grow online

Requirements

Essential

  • A proven track record of generating results
  • Experience managing and communicating with external agencies
  • Experience in implementing SEO strategies
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice
  • Experience in all elements of digital marketing, including social media management and advertising, email marketing, content marketing, etc
  • Experience in using data to drive decision-making - analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in various digital marketing software, including Google Analytics, Klaviyo, Hootsuite, etc
  • A good understanding of ecommerce websites and what drives conversion, customer experience and online sales
  • Attention to detail
  • Commercially minded
  • Excellent command of written English
  • Proactive mindset and full to the brim of ideas!

Desirable

  • Experience with Shopify, DatoCMS, and managing large ecommerce product catalogues
  • Experience sourcing B2B products
