Our client is an award-winning architectural practice based in Oxford and Bicester, with a passion for good design and careful customer service. They work across a range of business sectors, including Education, Healthcare, Defence and Commercial projects, creating buildings for a wide range of people and organisations. From workplaces to schools, hospitals to homes, places of leisure to spaces of worship – people are always at the heart of the spaces they create.
They are seeking a dynamic, client-facing architect who can lead projects, manage relationships and play a key role in business development. The new partner will be responsible for generating new business leads, winning work and growing the business, driving the company forwards and being instrumental in deciding how the practice is run.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Registered architect, ideally RIBA (support provided if required)
- Strong business acumen with the ability to manage cash flow and company growth
- Skilled in developing and maintaining client relationships, particularly within healthcare (experience in other sectors welcomed)
- Motivated to build and expand a client portfolio – open to senior associates or ambitious mid-level architects
- Flexible on location: primarily home-based with 2–3 days in the office and client meetings requiring travel (London and northern regions will be considered)
What will your role look like?
- Lead architectural work and deliver high-quality projects
- Drive business development and revenue growth, aiming for ÂŁ700K annual fee generation
- Contribute to company strategy, operations and financial management
- Maintain and grow strong client relationships
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the continued success and future of the practice
What can you expect in return?
- ÂŁ68K minimum salary plus profit share
- Equity buy-in starting at £10K upfront, with phased share acquisition up to £50K over up to 5 years (via company shares, not personal funds – timescale negotiable)
- Initial 10% profit share, increasing annually until equal partnership share is reached (33%)
- 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Company-covered expenses, including all car costs (excl. purchase / lease cost), mobile phone, home internet
