Manufacturing Finance Business Partner / Finance Analyst
Talent Finance are partnering with a successful and growing manufacturing business seeking to appoint a Manufacturing Finance Business Partner. Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting performance, driving insight and helping shape the next phase of growth.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and Operational Leaders, you will provide meaningful financial insight that helps drive performance, improve decision making and support the continued development of the business. This is a highly visible role that sits between finance and operations, giving you the opportunity to influence key decisions across manufacturing, production, inventory and project performance. It would suit a commercially minded Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Manufacturing Accountant looking to broaden their exposure within a manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in helping the business understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support operational decision making. Key responsibilities will include:
- Analysing manufacturing, project and operational performance
- Monitoring material, labour and overhead costs
- Reviewing Bills of Materials, routings and costing data
- Supporting inventory reporting, stock valuation and WIP analysis
- Producing meaningful KPIs, reports and performance insights
- Investigating variances and identifying trends and opportunities
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities
- Working closely with operational teams to improve profitability and efficiency
- Supporting process improvements across reporting, costing and controls
- Acting as a key link between finance and operations
About You
You will ideally bring:
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or project-based environment
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
- Exposure to costing, inventory, stock, WIP or operational finance
- The ability to turn data into meaningful business insight
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- The confidence to challenge, influence and build relationships across the business
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, part qualification or qualified by experience
