Management Accountant Dorset | On-site Talent Finance are working on a confidential opportunity with a growing Group based in the heart of Dorset, who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join the finance team, reporting into the Financial Controller and supporting the Finance Director . As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the quality, accuracy and insight of the companyβs financial reporting, supporting effective decision making across the business. You will play a key role in the month end process, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, while supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring that strong controls, compliance and payroll processes are in place. This is ideally an on-site position and will suit someone who values collaboration, accessibility and being part of the day-to-day rhythm of the business. Key areas of responsibility Preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow reporting Ensuring financial reporting is accurate, timely and compliant with accounting standards and group requirements Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear and meaningful variance analysis Analysing financial performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities to support senior management decision making Preparing and validating payroll data for submission to the external payroll bureau Maintaining strong internal controls and safeguarding the integrity of financial data Supporting internal and external audit processes Providing support and guidance to junior finance team members where required About you You will be an experienced Management Accountant or Finance Manager , ready for a role with ownership and accountability: ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience Solid experience in management accounts, financial reporting and balance sheet control Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capability A practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail Payroll preparation experience Confidence working within a group structure and alongside multiple stakeholders A collaborative, down-to-earth and professional communication style A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer for the right person.
