We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced finance team based in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some accounts experience—or someone looking to build a career in finance—to gain valuable, hands-on experience within a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function, gaining exposure across both purchase ledger and wider accounts processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Matching, batching, and coding invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Assisting with payment runs and supplier payments
- Supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments where required
- Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
- Handling supplier and customer queries in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting month-end processes and general finance administration
- Providing ad-hoc support to the wider finance team
