The Opportunity
Reporting into a Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end activities, and providing meaningful insight to support business performance. This position would suit someone who enjoys working with data, analysing trends, improving processes, and contributing to decision-making through high-quality financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of accurate and timely month-end reporting
- Preparing and reviewing accruals and prepayments
- Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Performing reconciliations and financial control activities
- Analysing expenditure against budget and forecast
- Identifying and explaining key variances and performance trends
- Producing regular reporting packs for key stakeholders
- Supporting financial planning and forecasting activities
- Identifying opportunities to improve, simplify and automate processes
- Providing insight and analysis to support business decision-making
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple departments
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance knowledge with excellent analytical and communication skills. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a finance or management accounts environment
- A solid understanding of month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments
- Knowledge of core accounting principles
- Experience studying towards, part-qualified, or qualified in a recognised finance qualification (or a desire to pursue one)
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
