Talent Finance are currently supporting a Private Equity backed group within the Education sector. This is a Group Finance Manager role within the newly created International arm of the business which is set for an exciting period of rapid growth. This is a high-impact role, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of group financial reporting while supporting the development of robust accounting practices across a complex, multi-entity organisation.
The successful candidate will lead group consolidations, support a transition to IFRS, and provide high-quality financial insight to inform strategic decision-making. This opportunity is well suited to an individual with a background in practice or group finance looking to further develop within an industry setting in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the consolidation of financial statements for a multi-GAAP, multi-currency group.
- Advise regional finance teams on the application and interpretation of accounting standards, liaising with external advisers where required.
- Oversee the transition of group accounts from UK GAAP to IFRS.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management packs, including group cash flow, balance sheet analysis, capital expenditure, and exceptional items.
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
- Support the external audit process and act as a key point of contact for auditors.
- Provide technical accounting expertise across the Group.
- Be a Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA strongly preferred).
- Have experience in group financial accounting or a similar technical role where you are responsible for International, multi-currency consolidations under UK GAAP / IFRS.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting or leading a UK GAAP to IFRS transition.
- Experience within a private equity-backed or high-growth environment.
