Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting commercial decision-making and helping drive continuous improvement across the finance function.
This is a varied role offering exposure to management accounting, budgeting, cashflow forecasting, process improvements and business projects, making it ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
Key responsibilities include
- Preparing monthly management accounts and associated reporting.
- Producing journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
- Assisting with board reporting and providing insightful financial analysis.
- Supporting finance projects, including systems improvements and business growth initiatives.
- Overseeing the sales and purchase ledger function with the support of the wider finance team.
- Assisting with supplier and contract negotiations.
- Coordinating payroll processes alongside the wider finance team.
- Building strong relationships across the business and providing financial support to non-finance stakeholders.
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the finance team.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, has excellent attention to detail and is keen to contribute to a collaborative finance team.
You’ll ideally have
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
- Strong month-end and management accounting experience.
- Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
