Talent Finance are working with a dynamic, multi-entity group to appoint a commercially focused Group Management Accountant for a company based in Poole. This is a key role within the finance function, offering real ownership of reporting, performance insight, and financial planning across a complex, fast-moving environment. It also presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within a forward-thinking, progressive business where finance is central to decision-making.
You will take responsibility for delivering accurate, meaningful financial information that supports decision-making across the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly group management accounts with clear, insightful variance analysis
- Development and continuous improvement of reporting packs, dashboards and KPI frameworks
- Delivery of forward-looking financial insight, including trend analysis and scenario modelling
- Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning processes
- Full oversight of manufacturing accounting, including margin and cost analysis
- Business partnering with operational and senior stakeholders to challenge and support performance
- Supporting strategic initiatives through financial modelling and investment appraisal
- Managing and developing a small team within the management accounting function
About you:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Strong background in management accounting or FP&A, ideally within a manufacturing or trading environment
- Proven experience owning month-end processes and management reporting
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate data into clear insight
- Advanced Excel skills and confident working with reporting tools
- Comfortable influencing stakeholders and operating in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership experience or the capability to develop into a leadership role
