We are partnering with a Top-ranking accountancy and advisory firm who are actively looking to appoint a Director of Accounts & Business Advisory to help drive the next stage of their growth. As Director, you will be offered the chance to shape client strategy, lead a talented team, and play a key role in the firm’s ongoing success.
The Role: As Director of Accounts & Business Advisory, you will be managing a broad portfolio of corporate clients across varied sectors. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services, while also taking a commercial view on how to develop both client relationships and the wider practice offering. You’ll also work closely with the leadership team to support business development efforts and, for the right person, have a route to Partner.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading a portfolio of clients across accounts, advisory, and business support services.
- Acting as the go-to senior contact for clients, helping them navigate challenges and identify opportunities for growth.
- Reviewing and finalising complex accounts and advisory reports, ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
- Managing and mentoring a team of accountants and advisors, driving a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Working closely with Partners on strategy, business development, and service innovation.
- Helping to shape the future of the firm; contributing to internal projects and wider leadership initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, with substantial experience in practice at Senior Manager or Director level.
- Strong technical grounding in accounts preparation, business advisory and compliance.
- Confident communicator who builds trust quickly and adds commercial value in every conversation.
- Proven leadership experience – you’ll enjoy developing others and influencing outcomes at a senior level.
- A genuine interest in helping clients thrive, not just stay compliant.
