About the Role
We are recruiting enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming secondary school in Waterlooville, Portsmouth.

Applicants MUST be able to provide evidence of GCSE English and GCSE Maths (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent). You will be required to provide copies of your GCSE certificates (or recognised equivalent qualification) as part of the recruitment process. Unfortunately, if you are unable to provide evidence of both English and Maths qualifications, your application will not be progressed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
- Providing additional support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour, participation and engagement in lessons
- Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support student progress
Requirements
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- Able to work Monday to Friday during term time
- Right to work in the UK
- Evidence of GCSE English and GCSE Maths (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent) is essential
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check (or already registered on the DBS Update Service)

- Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) roles
- Secondary school settings

- Coaching or working with young people
- Supporting students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia or other additional learning needs
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- CACHE Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Qualifications in Education, Childcare, Psychology or Health & Social Care
