A leading international low-carbon energy organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Buyer to support major UK infrastructure and EPC projects. This is a high-impact contract role with strong senior stakeholder exposure.
The Role
- You will lead end-to-end procurement for complex CAPEX projects, translating project requirements into effective sourcing and contracting strategies.
- Working closely with project, commercial, legal, and finance teams, you will drive value across cost, risk, delivery, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement for major infrastructure and EPC / EPCM projects
- Develop and execute project-specific sourcing and contracting strategies
- Run competitive tenders, negotiations, and contract awards
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk
- Ensure compliance with governance, HSE, and sustainability requirements
- Provide clear reporting and commercial insight to senior leadership
About You
- 7+ years' CAPEX procurement experience within infrastructure, construction, or energy
- Proven end-to-end EPC / EPCM sourcing experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC / FIDIC and construction contracting
- Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management skills
- Engineering degree essential; CIPS (or working towards) preferred
