We’re supporting a large, well-established procurement consulting practice with a strong pipeline of regulated and programme-led work. They’re hiring a cohort of procurement and commercial professionals across multiple grades to support major client engagements across the UK.
These roles are ideal for candidates with NEC4 contract exposure and/or Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) training/implementation experience. Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility is highly desirable for a portion of the portfolio.
Key responsibilities (level dependent)- Deliver procurement and commercial workstreams across major programmes, from sourcing strategy and market engagement through to contract mobilisation, supplier performance and governance.
- Provide NEC-aligned commercial support, including change control, early warnings, compensation events, risk/issue management and commercial reporting.
- Support clients operating in regulated environments with PA23-ready procurement, including governance, documentation, audit trails, and best-practice procurement processes.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across procurement, commercial, legal, finance and delivery teams to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Contribute to proposals, bids and internal capability development (and at senior levels, support account growth and team leadership).
- Consulting background or strong client-facing experience in procurement/commercial delivery on complex programmes.
- NEC4 experience (practical exposure to NEC contract environments is strongly preferred).
- PA23 exposure (training, readiness assessments, implementation activity, or regulated procurement delivery).
- Security Clearance (SC) held, or clear eligibility/willingness to obtain (depending on engagement).
- Strong contracting and procurement governance capability, with confident stakeholder management and clear communication.
- Sector exposure (one or more) is beneficial across: Aerospace/Defence, Infrastructure/Transport, Utilities/Energy transition, Real Estate/Construction/Major capital programmes, Public sector/Regulated organisations.
- Work on high-profile, multi-stakeholder programmes with clear delivery outcomes.
- A strong and consistent pipeline - multiple roles across levels and regions.
- Hybrid working, with flexibility depending on client and project needs.
- Structured development support (training, certifications, career pathways).
