This is an amazing opportunity to join a globally known brand to manage some of the most vital spend areas for the business across Commercial Procurement Spend. You'll be working in a large group procurement function, supporting some of the business's key areas of spend which result in their ongoing success.

Reporting into the Head of Corporate & Commercial procurement, you will be a Lead Procurement Manager - Marketing, Partnerships & Inflight Retail (SME senior role, no team management) to own these areas, which are some of the highest value, most strategic vendors and where these particular suppliers have to always be delivering the service at a pinpoint level.

This role requires someone with a high level of Gravitas, Influence and Impact who can work with these large suppliers and Director level upward stakeholders, to further improve the strategy, innovate with new and existing suppliers to ensure all routes and airports are never impacted.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Create relevant category strategies through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings.
  • Develop category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices.
  • Support the development of category strategies to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projects.
  • Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a supplier's performance.
  • Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback.
  • Be a Procurement role model by living company values, consistently delivering to the high standards expected, promoting procurement through relationships.
  • On top of over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency.

Experience and requirements:

  • Worked for a large, complex and multi-site business and led, developed and delivered group wide procurement strategies.
  • Category experience in Marketing, Indirect or any Commercial Customer Retail.
  • Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Director level.
  • Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationship.
  • Analytical mindset and have strong communication skills to present ideas to the business.
  • Worked in a large and cross-functional procurement team.
  • MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential.
