A very interesting and exciting new role working for a large, growing and global FinTech business who are soon to be publicly listed, so you'll be joining at a great time in their growth journey. With a relatively new CPO, he is building out a group global function which will end up being a pretty decent size, with this role the next key part of the puzzle.
Focus of the role is to come in and manage their BPO and Outsourcing category, for the UK and key global regions, covering a really broad range of outsourced contracts (11 key geographies):
- Large and high value contact centre outsourcing
- KYC
- Customer Service
- Technology outsourcing / MSP
Role and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long‑term procurement strategies that align within business objectives.
- Proactively build and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders within the organization.
- Facilitate regular cross‑departmental meetings to ensure alignment between procurement strategies and business objectives.
- Lead efforts to achieve cost reductions and optimisation of spend across categories.
- Utilise analytical and financial skills to assess total cost of ownership and budget impact of procurement decisions.
- Evaluate and support selection of suppliers, utilising robust criteria for quality, price, and reliability.
- Contribute to the smooth onboarding, relationship management, and off‑boarding of third‑party suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for consolidating suppliers, renegotiating contracts, or initiating new proposals.
- Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and scorecards, and lead initiatives for supplier improvement and innovation.
- Mentor and develop procurement team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations while promoting integrity and transparency across all operations.
Experience & Requirements:
- Proven experience in BPO & Outsourcing, specifically across Contact Centres, KYC, Financial Crime, Customer Services.
- Experience in leading and developing commercial strategies within the financial services or fintech industry.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in major outsourcing services at a global scale.
- Proven track record of delivering and exceeding commercial targets.
- Ability to advise, manage and report risks effectively, providing practical solutions to mitigate them.
- Experience with sourcing tools, market analysis and end‑to‑end procurement processes.
- Demonstrable ability to evaluate and summarise complex sourcing scenarios, communicating them in a clear and pragmatic way to different stakeholders and influencing with impact.
