Senior Project Buyer - Infrastructure & Networks (Contract)
Location: London 1-2 days a week
Contract: 6 months (MAT cover potential extension 9-12 months)
Start: ASAP (before Mid-Feb 2026)
A leading international low-carbon energy organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Buyer to support major UK infrastructure and EPC projects. This is a high-impact contract role with strong senior stakeholder exposure.
The Role
You will lead end-to-end procurement for complex CAPEX projects, translating project requirements into effective sourcing and contracting strategies. Working closely with project, commercial, legal, and finance teams, you will drive value across cost, risk, delivery, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement for major infrastructure and EPC / EPCM projects
- Develop and execute project-specific sourcing and contracting strategies
- Run competitive tenders, negotiations, and contract awards
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk
- Ensure compliance with governance, HSE, and sustainability requirements
- Provide clear reporting and commercial insight to senior leadership
About You
- 7+ years’ CAPEX procurement experience within infrastructure, construction, or energy
- Strong knowledge of NEC / FIDIC and construction contracting
- Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management skills
- Engineering degree essential; CIPS (or working towards) preferred
