This role will manage the companies IT and Tech spend as a specialist category, with involvement in other categories such as Professional Services.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create relevant category strategies through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings
  • Develop IT category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group, leveraging suppliers to support local offices
  • Support the development of category strategies to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projects
  • Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performance
  • Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback
  • Be a Procurement role model by living company values, consistently delivering to the high standards expected, promoting procurement through relationships
  • On top of over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency

Experience and Requirements:

  • Worked for a corporate business or organisation
  • Corporate Services category experience (Professional Services, Financial, Insurance) categories are preferable
  • Broad indirect and corporate services category experience
  • Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Director level+
  • Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationship
  • Analytical mindset and have strong communication skills to present ideas to the business
  • Worked in a large and cross-functional procurement team
  • MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential
