A global FTSE 100 Professional Services business is looking for an experienced Fleet Category Specialist to own the category across the UK, and potentially Europe in due course. This role offers a salary of £53,000 to £63,000, along with full corporate benefits, and is primarily remote with monthly visits to sites in the UK.

The group function is undergoing a significant transformation, providing continuous opportunities for progression.

Role and responsibilities:
  • Report into the Head of Global Procurement, within a good sized team of fellow colleagues at various levels.
  • Develop, design and continuously improve category strategies.
  • End to end sourcing, within designated spend areas using a strategic approach.
  • Work with senior business leads to develop category strategies and category planning.
  • Provide continuous advice to stakeholders on market trends, new innovations, and knowledge of the supplier market.
  • Manage and understand both regulated and un-regulated complex projects.
  • Ensure best commercial value for the business in parallel to strategic procurement.
Experience required:
  • Extensive experience in the Fleet category, being a subject matter expert.
  • Strong and proven strategic category management in a large complex business.
  • Experience working in a large, global and matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrated delivery of savings in a large and similar sized business.
  • Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Board Level.
  • Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationships.
  • Experience working in a large and cross-functional procurement team.
  • MCIPS qualification is nice to have, but not essential.
