Category Manager - Corporate Services (x3) | £55,000 to £86,000 | Discretionary Bonus | 30 days holiday | Private Healthcare | + many more benefits | Office locations: Milton Keynes (3 days a week)

A well-known UK professional services firm is looking for three brand new roles following a large transformation, to manage their spend strategically, aligning contracts to ensure there is a solid and robust supply chain.

You will have access and build close working relationships with the C-Suite, developing robust category strategies, utilising the best suppliers to provide the best service for the company, ensuring cost efficiencies are met.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Create a category strategy through to delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings.
  • Develop group wide category plans and strategies to ensure alignment for the group.
  • Support the development of global category strategies to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projects.
  • Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of supplier performance.
  • Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback.
  • Be a Procurement role model by living company values, consistently delivering to high standards, promoting procurement through relationships.
  • On top of over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency.

Experience and requirements:

  • Technical SME experience in Generalist Corporate Services categories.
  • Financial or Professional Services industry experience preferred, having worked in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in a complex business and knowledge/understanding of complications and approach following M&A.
  • Previous experience working on complex global projects, dealing with Tier 1 suppliers of significant value.
  • Confident in engaging and influencing senior level stakeholders across various regions.
  • A highly strategic mindset when approaching procurement, suppliers and business needs.
  • Track record of extensive category management, effecting change and continuous improvement through implementation of innovative category strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with contacts in different cultures and countries.
  • Able to adapt in a very fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
  • MCIPS qualified, nice to have but not essential.
