Are you experienced in Procurement and looking for a new challenge? Based from either Basingstoke or Wembley, you'll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance. Reporting into the Head of Strategic Sourcing, you'll be a key member of the senior leadership team within Procurement. You'll be responsible for the approach and methodology for the organisations procurement activity, demonstrating where procurement can add measurable value and identifying solutions which support the delivery of their corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountability for a number of strategic spend categories within their Property Services and Housing Asset Management business areas, alongside line managing the category managers who will also have responsibility for their own groups of spend categories.
- Supporting multiple complex procurement projects across all areas of spend within our Property Services and Housing Asset Management business areas, ensuring that the procurement team and its service offering is aligned to business needs and the Procurement Strategy.
- Taking a lead in supplier engagement and sourcing activities end to end, as well as supplier engagement, from definition of business requirements and sourcing, tender analysis and negotiation, and supplier performance management aligned with their SRM framework.
- Contributing to the strategic transformational workstreams including data integrity and data reporting to maximise the use of data to impact decision making.
- Line Management of the team in partnership with our other Senior Procurement Manager, ensuring continuous support and encouragement for personal development.
Skills and experience required
- To demonstrate a flexible approach and utilise a range of sourcing techniques to identify, develop and deliver solutions.
- Experience of leading and managing multiple projects.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to form effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good attention to detail and experience in contract drafting and varying.
- Leadership skills and a desire to coach and develop a small team.
- Experience of working under and advising on PCR 2015 regulations and knowledge of Procurement Act 2023.
Salary and Benefits:
- £60,000-£70,000.
- £450 flex-pot annually, discounted shopping & cycling scheme.
