Our client, a market leading Data Centre business with offices in London but with an international footprint, has opportunities for a Senior Cost Manager to join their expanding team. Located in London but with projects across the UK and Europe, they are keen to hire experienced cost managers with a focus on Data Centre construction.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You will define how we plan, track, and forecast budgets, commitments, and expenditures, ensuring full cost transparency.
- You will provide cost leadership across all data centre projects in EMEA, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding project outcomes and enabling future growth.
- Lead early-stage project budgeting, develop comprehensive cost programs, establish reporting structures, and deliver robust forecasting models across the full project life cycle.
- Own and manage the cost coding structures, ensuring seamless integration between construction teams and financial systems.
What You’ll Bring:
- Several years of experience in construction cost management, including responsibilities such as pre-construction planning, cost management strategies, cost coding structures, commitments, spend and forecast processes, and reviewing contractor cost proposals on major engineering or construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with construction cost accounting and financial management software.
- A strong understanding of the full construction life cycle, from early pre-design through construction and close-out.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
