Procurement & Contracts Manager - Divestment

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Contract Type: 12-Month FTC

Location: London - Hybrid

We’re supporting a major UK organisation undergoing significant transformation to recruit a Procurement & Contracts Manager – Divestment on a 12-month fixed-term contract .

This role will support a major divestment and separation programme, taking ownership of a significant volume of procurement and contracting activity during a period of complex organisational change.

You’ll need to combine strong procurement capability with excellent contractual understanding, commercial toughness and the ability to get agreements over the line at pace. This is a role for someone who is comfortable challenging the business, negotiating firmly with suppliers and quickly moving from one complex commercial issue to the next.

The Role:

  • Lead multiple procurement and contracting activities simultaneously, maintaining momentum and driving agreements through to completion.
  • Partner directly with senior and executive-level stakeholders, quickly understanding priorities while providing credible commercial challenge.
  • Lead supplier negotiations across commercial terms, contractual obligations, risk and value, working closely with Legal where required.
  • Resolve complex commercial and contractual issues arising from a major divestment and separation programme.
  • Develop pragmatic procurement and contracting strategies that balance pace, commercial protection, stakeholder requirements and value.

Key Skills:

  • Strong indirect procurement and contracts experience gained within a large, complex corporate environment or procurement consultancy.
  • Excellent commercial and contractual understanding, with confidence reviewing contracts, identifying risk and negotiating robust commercial positions.
  • A demonstrable track record of influencing senior stakeholders and challenging established thinking rather than simply facilitating a procurement process.
  • Experience managing multiple complex contracts, negotiations and priorities within a fast-moving and pressurised environment.
  • Experience within divestment, separation, M&A, transformation or similarly complex change programmes would be highly advantageous.

The Person:

  • Commercially sharp and a confident, resilient negotiator who is comfortable holding their position when challenged.
  • Naturally proactive and able to insert themselves into complex situations, establish credibility quickly and drive decisions.
  • Tenacious and delivery-focused, with a strong appetite for getting contracts completed and moving quickly onto the next priority.
  • A pragmatic problem solver who focuses on finding solutions and getting agreements over the line rather than allowing process to become the objective.
  • Personable and collaborative, but equally comfortable challenging suppliers and senior stakeholders where the commercial situation requires it.

Why Join?

  • Play a key commercial role within a major divestment and business transformation programme.
  • Gain exposure to complex, business-critical contractual and commercial challenges.
  • Work directly with senior stakeholders across a high-profile UK organisation.
  • Join a procurement function with genuine visibility and influence across the business.
  • Take ownership of projects where pace, judgement, negotiation and commercial capability are genuinely valued.
