A lovely and brand new role working in a group procurement function who manage all spend (£1bn+), covering the UK & Europe. You’ll be reporting into the Procurement Director for Business Partnering, working as a collaborator to ensure procurement, the business units and the supplier base are all working in conjunction to ensure the most efficient outcome.
You will play a key part in ensuring the delivery of procurement for all of UK and Europe, acting as a central business partner with the core business and various business units to ensure savings targets are hit and overall functional performance by proactive planning and embedding group procurement process.
Role and responsibilities:- Build strong and strategic relationships with internal and externally managed business areas
- Manage a team to support your overall business partnering strategy
- Collaborate across as a central point of contact to ensure group procurement strategy is supporting key areas as best as possible
- Support commercial and legal functions with contract negotiations
- Ensuring assumptions and dependencies are well understood and documented, especially where multi-party agreements are required
- Managing and mitigating risk to ensure reliable estimating by ensuring robust governance and transparency
- Drive early engagement and collaboration with growth, business development and bid teams to ensure bid requirements are understood and Procurement deliverables, resourcing and budget are agreed to create competitive supply chain
- Ensure that all sourcing demand for the business unit is channelled through to a clear and prioritised pipeline of sourcing projects for execution
- Lead and support the education and influencing of key stakeholders ensuring that the development of category strategies is supported
- Support across all category divisions from IT, FM, Corporate Services, Engineering and Construction
- Knowledge or experience of any Justice or Immigration sector experience, with knowledge of the Services required
- You will have worked in a complex changing environment with demanding business objectives in a competitive market sector and global sized business
- Has a global and strategic mindset while being flexible to local differences and creative to encourage and seek innovative approaches
- Demonstrates a consistent track record of delivery within large and complex Procurement organisations
- Possesses strong business acumen, able to understand complex business needs and drivers and identify ways for Procurement to address
- Will have a track record of category management, effecting change, savings delivery and continuous improvement through creation and implementation of innovative category strategies
- Possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels especially Senior and to Board level
- A strong ability to sell procurement to business units and stakeholders confidently
- Degree educated is preferred but not essential
