They are looking for an experienced Soft FM Category Manager, with extensive experience in delivering strategic category plans, focusing on managing large value and complex projects. Your strengths must include stakeholder management, winning the trust of stakeholders, negotiating with suppliers, and being a role model for more junior team members.
The group function is going through an exciting transformation, expanding the function with continuous opportunities for progression.
Role and responsibilities:
- Report into the Group Procurement Director, within a good sized team of colleagues at various levels.
- Develop, design and continuously improve category strategies.
- End to end sourcing within designated spend areas using a strategic approach.
- Work with senior business leads to develop category strategies and planning.
- Provide continuous advice to stakeholders on market trends, new innovations, and knowledge of the supplier market.
- Manage and understand both regulated and unregulated complex projects.
- Ensure best commercial value for the business in parallel to strategic procurement.
Experience required:
- Extensive category management experience in Soft FM, Soft Services.
- Strong and proven strategic category management in a large complex business.
- Confident and personable approach when dealing with all levels of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated delivery of savings in a large and similar sized business.
- Ability to engage, negotiate, and influence senior stakeholders up to Board Level.
- Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches based on type, level, and maturity of relationships.
- Experience working in a large and cross-functional procurement team.
- MCIPS qualification is nice to have, but not essential.
