Leeds HQ - Hybrid working (3 days a week). Talent Drive are partnering with a global retail brand in Leeds who are looking for a new Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement transformation and delivery of procurement excellence strategies across the function. The role supports the organisation in achieving strategic, commercial, and sustainability objectives through continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices, systems and policies from Source to Pay.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the procurement excellence strategy to drive best-in-class procurement practices with ownership of all procurement excellence initiatives, driving the transformation of the procurement function from Source to Pay.
- Identify and implement process improvements, standardisation initiatives, and automation opportunities across the procurement lifecycle.
- Lead or support strategic transformation projects within procurement, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Drive strategic enhancements across the Purchase Requisition to Payment (PR to Pay) lifecycle, ensuring streamlined operations, increased compliance, and measurable gains.
- Lead continuous improvement to deliver robust cost governance and financial transparency across the organisation and report on progress.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote engagement, transparency, and understanding of procurement processes and value delivery.
- Support the development of procurement capability through training, knowledge-sharing, and mentoring within the procurement team.
- Manage direct reports and provide continuous training and development to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the Procurement Operations team.
Requirements
- Strong experience in leading procurement governance, compliance and risk management and best practice through a source to pay cycle.
- Confident communicator able to influence and challenge stakeholders at senior level.
- Proven track record to troubleshoot complex problems, identify process issues and ensure accuracy and compliance to procurement processes.
- Previous experience of Procurement Excellence position with the ability to demonstrate continued improvement within the procurement function.
- Proficiency of procurement technologies (e.g., SAP Ariba) and data visualisation tools is a plus.
- Requires good understanding of IT procurement systems and processes.
