Talent Drive are exclusively supporting a FTSE100 global manufacturing business in the search for a Senior Buyer to join their growing and highly experienced procurement team based in Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a broad range of direct commodities whilst playing a key role in supplier strategy, cost optimisation and supply chain improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing key supplier relationships and spend categories
  • Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies
  • Leading commercial negotiations and contract management activities
  • Driving cost reduction and value improvement projects
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  • Managing supplier performance, risk and continuity of supply
  • Working closely with stakeholders across engineering, operations and supply chain functions

What we're looking for:

  • Procurement experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience managing direct commodities
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across the business
  • CIPS qualified (or working towards qualification) would be advantageous
