The Opportunity
Talent Drive is partnering with a leading global organisation operating across defence, security and advanced technology to recruit a Senior Supply Chain Manager into its UK Intelligence division.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive Procurement & Supply Chain function, taking ownership of a £200m supply chain portfolio supporting mission-critical programmes across cyber, digital intelligence and advanced technology.
Reporting into the UKI Procurement Business Partner, you will lead a team of six direct reports, driving strategic sourcing, supplier performance, commercial value and supply chain resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and mentor a team of six procurement and supply chain professionals, driving performance and capability development.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies across a complex £200m supply chain portfolio.
- Lead high-value, complex commercial negotiations, tenders and contract management activities.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing business strategy and driving early procurement engagement.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring resilience, sustainability and commercial performance.
- Drive supplier relationship management (SRM), improving supplier performance, innovation and value delivery.
- Support procurement transformation initiatives, including the transition to Oracle Fusion and the development of a mature Source-to-Pay operating model.
About You
The client are looking for an experienced, commercially astute procurement and supply chain leader who thrives in a complex, stakeholder driven environment.
Ideally, you will bring:
- 7+ years' experience across strategic procurement and supply chain management.
- Proven experience leading, developing and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrable experience negotiating complex, high-value contracts.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence senior leadership.
- Experience managing supplier risk, contract performance and strategic supplier relationships.
- Exposure to procurement systems and Source-to-Pay transformation.
- MCIPS qualified or working towards completion.
Experience within defence, aerospace, technology, engineering or similarly complex environments would be advantageous.
