The Company
I am working with a well-established consultancy partner that supports major public sector clients across procurement, commercial and transformation programmes. Due to continued demand across IT and digital procurement, they are looking to appoint a Management Consultant into a newly created role.
The Role
This is a client-facing consulting role focused on IT procurement, digital services and commercial delivery across complex public sector environments. You will support clients with procurement strategy, sourcing activity, stakeholder engagement and cost-saving initiatives, while translating technical requirements into practical commercial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support public sector IT procurement and digital services projects.
- Advise clients on procurement strategy, route to market, sourcing options and commercial approach.
- Deliver measurable cost savings, efficiencies and value improvement across technology categories.
- Work with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders to shape clear procurement solutions.
- Produce high-quality commercial documentation, recommendations, reports and presentations.
What They Are Looking For:
- Strong public sector procurement experience, ideally across central government, MOD, health or transport.
- Good IT, technology or digital services procurement experience.
- Knowledge of the new Procurement Act and public sector procurement requirements.
- Proven track record of delivering savings, cost reduction and commercial value.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
Useful Experience:
- Digital services, software, infrastructure, managed services, cloud or wider technology procurement.
- Experience translating technical IT requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
- Consultancy or client-facing advisory experience.
- Experience working across complex, high-value procurement projects.
- A stable career history, or clear rationale for interim, contract or FTC moves.
