Base pay range: £65,000 to £75,000 per annum + 20% bonus + pension (matched between 5% and 10%) + BUPA Family Cover + 25 days AL + additional benefits.

Overview: There are exciting changes afoot in this well-known hospitality company in Bedfordshire as they embark on an exciting Procurement Transformation and are looking for a new Procurement Manager to oversee the IT Software category area, c.£40M annual spend across 130 suppliers. This company is continually looking for ways to develop the Procurement function and evolve, so sponsoring CIPS and additional qualifications is very much considered here. The role will report to a highly experienced Head of IT Procurement and offers a hybrid flexible working model.

What the role involves:

  • Overseeing key strategic contracts, identifying opportunities for consolidating spend and undertaking tendering and contract management opportunities across the IT Software & Cyber Security category.
  • Continuous maintenance and update of market insight regarding the relevant IT Software marketplace, best practices, trends, key suppliers etc.
  • Proactively working closely with key stakeholders to generate initiatives for operational and commercial efficiency plans and deliver.
  • Development of documented (3 year) category strategy plans in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Negotiation to maximise savings and/or optimise price/quality/service/risk/SLAs & KPIs.
  • Leading regular supplier review meetings including Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Developing strong personal relationships with appropriate stakeholders and senior Executives across the business.

The person we hope to find:

  • Fully conversant with a broad range of IT sourcing strategies required to underpin corporate strategies for the Software category.
  • Strong understanding of category management and ability to build a category plan.
  • Highly credible in front of the Executive, senior stakeholders and the executives of key suppliers.
  • Works under broad direction, though work is often self-initiated.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Ideally you will be CIPS qualified.
