An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Indirect Procurement Manager to join a leading player in the UK’s hospitality and leisure sector. This role will play a central part in shaping sourcing strategies and delivering tangible commercial outcomes across a broad and dynamic spend portfolio.
The Role
Reporting into the Procurement Leadership team, you will take ownership of high value and strategically important sourcing initiatives, developing tailored strategies and overseeing the full go to market process from stakeholder engagement through to negotiation and contract award. You'll work across multiple indirect spend areas (excluding a few specialist categories such as utilities and construction) and help drive innovation, quality, and commercial value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activity for Indirect spend over £250k or considered high risk/strategic.
- Work in partnership with senior stakeholders across the business to define needs and shape procurement strategies.
- Execute sourcing initiatives including RFPs, tenders, e-sourcing, and contract negotiations.
- Drive measurable cost savings and continuous improvement in service delivery and supplier performance.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of procurement opportunities based on business priorities.
- Provide subject matter expertise and act as a trusted advisor to commercial and operational teams.
- Support wider procurement governance, reporting, and knowledge-sharing within the team.
About You
You’ll be a hands-on procurement expert with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Solid experience in indirect strategic sourcing or category management, ideally within hospitality, leisure, or retail.
- A strong grasp of procurement processes, commercial negotiation, and contract management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- A proactive, delivery-focused approach with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Experience of working on complex, cross-functional sourcing projects.
- Knowledge of hospitality or park-based operations would be a distinct advantage.
