Procurement Consulting Roles – Procurement Transformation - Private Sector

Salary

Location

London / Hybrid, with client travel as required

Type

Permanent

A fast-growing procurement consultancy is looking to expand its UK procurement practice with experienced procurement professionals who can combine strong technical expertise with confident client delivery.

This is an opportunity to work across a varied private-sector client base, delivering tangible procurement savings, value creation and transformation programmes.

The role would suit someone already working within procurement consulting who wants greater ownership, exposure and progression within a growing team.

The Role

  • Deliver procurement and value creation programmes across a range of indirect spend categories, taking ownership of defined client workstreams.
  • Identify and deliver measurable cost reduction, commercial improvement and procurement transformation opportunities.
  • Analyse complex spend, supplier and market data to develop clear insights, recommendations and sourcing strategies.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders at multiple levels, presenting findings, challenging assumptions and helping turn recommendations into practical outcomes.
  • Support wider transformation initiatives spanning procurement operating models, processes, capability, sustainability and digitalisation.

Key Skills

  • Strong procurement expertise combined with experience working within management or procurement consulting; exceptional in-house candidates with significant project-based/client-facing exposure may also be considered.
  • A track record of delivering procurement projects within the private sector, ideally across multiple businesses, categories or industries.
  • Clear evidence of delivering commercial value and savings, with experience across strategic sourcing, category management, cost optimisation or procurement transformation.
  • Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder-management capability, with the confidence to independently own workstreams and operate in senior client environments.
  • Commercially minded, entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a growing consultancy where individuals are expected to contribute beyond their immediate project responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead sourcing, cost-reduction and value-creation workstreams from initial opportunity assessment through to implementation.
  • Develop category strategies, business cases, financial analysis and high-quality client presentations to support decision-making.
  • Manage project plans, deliverables, dashboards and stakeholder communications to ensure projects remain on track against agreed objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with client teams and suppliers, using structured analysis and commercial challenge to influence outcomes.
  • Contribute to consultancy methodologies, proposals, knowledge sharing and the continued growth of the UK procurement offering.

Why Consider It?

  • Join a growing specialist consultancy where procurement is a core capability rather than a small part of a much broader advisory business.
  • Work on varied projects across cost transformation, procurement excellence, sustainability, digitalisation and value creation.
  • Gain considerably more ownership and senior client exposure than can often be achieved within larger consulting environments.
  • Clear opportunity to progress as the UK team grows, with scope to contribute to both client delivery and the development of the consultancy itself.
